Shipping FAQThe story
Zodiac Guardians · Collaboration Series
Twelve ink-painted guardians, given weight and presence.
WUYIN × Mingzi
The inspiration
Twelve zodiac animals become twelve distinctive guardians. Expressive poses and individual weapons carry the character of the original ink paintings into a collection of small sculptures.
Form & function
Following MP Studio’s resin figures, WUYIN developed the twelve objects in 925 silver and brass using lost-wax casting. Each stands on a black-walnut and brass base with its own nameplate.
About the collaborator
Mingzi gives imagined creatures the gestures and character of traditional Chinese ink painting.
