925 Silver / Everyday cleaning

Start gently.

  1. Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. Follow the instructions for your piece before using a silver polish.

  2. Do not polish away deliberately darkened details.

  3. For moving parts or mixed materials, follow the instructions for the whole piece before using water or cleaning products.

A few things to keep in mind
before caring for your piece.

Why does silver change colour?

Sterling silver can develop tarnish over time. WUYIN pieces may also have deliberately darkened details. If you are unsure about a change, contact us before polishing.

Can I use a polishing cloth on every surface?

No. Coloured surfaces, mixed materials and intentional dark finishes need individual care. Use a soft, dry cloth as a starting point, and follow the instructions for your specific piece.

What about moving parts or hidden mechanisms?

Do not force, dismantle or immerse a mechanism to clean it. Contact WUYIN if it feels stiff or behaves differently.

How should I store my jewelry?

Let the piece dry fully and store it separately in a soft pouch or lined compartment. Keep it away from moisture and household chemicals.
